The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has a population of 9.5 million, composed of Emirati citizens and expatriates. A four-tier system is the basis of primary and secondary education in the UAE. Both primary and secondary education are mandatory.
With a pre-set list of subjects, the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) curriculum uses both the English and Hindi languages as mediums of instruction. The curriculum’s focus is inclined towards learning mathematics and science. Furthermore, the curriculum is structured on the premise that rote learning is the most effective method of learning.
