Scotch is a member of the Uniting Church, which was inaugurated in Australia in 1977 and was formed by the union of the Congregational, Methodist and Presbyterian churches. Christian values and ethics encompass all our teaching practices. The figure of Christ serves as an example of personal commitment, encouraging a Christian perspective of the world's needs and cares.

In keeping with the School's goal to provide education of an international standard, the School adopted the International Baccalaureate to its curriculum in 2003. Scotch College is authorised to offer both the Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme and the IB Diploma to provide a seamless curriculum of an international standard of excellence in the formative years.

The School has approximately 200 Junior School boys from Kindergarten to Year 5, 500 Middle School boys in Years 6 to 8 plus 800 boys in the Senior School from Years 9 to 12, including 170 boarders.

Scotch College is an Independent School for Boys, situated on 50 hectares of magnificent grounds in the highly sought after Western Suburbs of Perth. It is located 10 Km from the CBD and 2 KM from some of the best beaches in the world. The College was founded in 1897 and has a proud history as a school of the Presbyterian Church, and since 1977, the Uniting Church of Australia. Currently there are approximately 1500 boys enrolled across K-12.

When a boy commences his journey at Scotch, he is entering a Community for Life. Since the foundation of Scotch College in 1897, we have welcomed over 15,000 graduates into a vibrant and supportive community we call the Old Scotch Collegians (OSC). With over 12,000 currently living and working in Australia and across the globe, on graduating, our students enter an amazing supportive network for life. The OSC continues to shape and support the personal and professional lives of our boys while at school and for many years after finishing Year 12.
