Scotch is a member of the Uniting Church, which was inaugurated in Australia in 1977 and was formed by the union of the Congregational, Methodist and Presbyterian churches. In keeping with the School's goal to provide education of an international standard, the School adopted the International Baccalaureate to its curriculum in 2003. Scotch College is authorised to offer both the Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme and the IB Diploma to provide a seamless curriculum of an international standard of excellence in the formative years.
The School has approximately 200 Junior School boys from Kindergarten to Year 5, 500 Middle School boys in Years 6 to 8 plus 800 boys in the Senior School from Years 9 to 12, including 170 boarders.
Scotch College is an Independent School for Boys, situated on 50 hectares of magnificent grounds in the highly sought after Western Suburbs of Perth. It is located 10 Km from the CBD and 2 KM from some of the best beaches in the world. The College was founded in 1897 and has a proud history as a school of the Presbyterian Church, and since 1977, the Uniting Church of Australia. Currently there are approximately 1500 boys enrolled across K-12.
