We are a forward looking school which invests great time and resources in developing children for the emerging technological age. We also support and develop traditional educational skills which underpin every child’s on-going academic success, and we develop within our children the necessary problem solving and personal capabilities to enable them to apply their knowledge to new experiences and continue to grow, develop and learn. And beneath all that, we deliver a unique ethos which welcomes and embraces the wide diversity of faiths and cultures which attend and enrich our school daily.

Why not see for yourself what we have to offer. Feel free to contact us if you wish to arrange a visit to St Paul’s Primary School & Nursery Unit to experience the wealth of opportunities and experiences provided to our pupils. At St.Paul’s Primary School it is our privilege and responsibility to bring children to know God and understand the teaching and tradition of the Church. We are committed to offering a high quality educational experience to enable our children to become full contributing members of society.

As a Rights Respecting School we aim to teach the children that they have rights under the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). From this starting point they also learn their responsibility to respect others' rights in the community. The ethos created in school works in unison with our mission statement as a Catholic school and demonstrates to the children the inclusiveness of being a rights-respecting school.

To achieve these aims we will:

  • Create a warm welcoming atmosphere and extend this to all.
  • Value and support each other in a caring school community, which strives to live by and foster Gospel values.
  • Recognise and celebrate the gifts and talents of all. (Article 29- Education must develop every child’s personality, talents and abilities to the full.)Help the children to extend the respect and understanding they experience within the school to the wider community.
  • Work in partnership with our local parishes to support parents in their task as primary educators of their children.

Builds on basic rights a child has such as the right to, Survival, develop to the fullest, protection from harmful influences abuse and exploitation participate fully in family, cultural and social life (Article 3-The best interests of the child must be a top priority in all things that affect children).
