We are one big family living under the one roof of our beautiful house situated high above the shores of Lake Geneva. Our outstanding package of care includes an excellent catering and dining experience. Our location is aspirational and inspirational with both lake and mountains outward-reaching, crystal fresh alpine air – here is the most extraordinary environment offering girls an experience they will not get anywhere else. Montreux is a safe, vibrant, cultured town with cafes, restaurants, music and art at its heart and excellent rail links – 3 hours to Milan, Paris, Madrid.

Celebrating excellence in girls’ education since our establishment in 1961, we are true to our roots in the Finishing-style education we offer. We offer personalised, tailored curriculum breadth with internationally recognised American High School Programme, IGCSE and A Levels. Our emphasis is on languages, business, charity and preparing girls for the life beyond school, not just university. We are committed to giving each girl the best story to tell about herself as she strives to become the best person that she can be.

Our curriculum allows space for the additional experiences which make a difference. We balance academic achievement and fulfilment with developing each individual as a person – space is given to allow girls to understand themselves and their world, acquiring skills needed to present themselves and land the best university,  job, future.

Surval was established in 1961, and celebrates being Switzerland’s only truly international all girls’ boarding school, and is one of the few schools to teach Etiquette. A Surval girl can walk into any situation and understand how to conduct herself, how to host, how to listen with cultural and respectful intelligence.

We welcome girls to join us for their full secondary school career, for a year, for a Winter Term to make the most of our enviable setting and snow sports, or Surval Summer Camp for Swiss fun in the sun!
