Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU), has been making a difference to countless young lives for several years. This is true homage to the visionary sage H.H. Dr. Swami Rama, who envisioned a world where young lives are provided a platform to learn and transform into effective and compassionate professionals.

Promoted by Himalayan Institute Hospital Trust (HIHT), SRHU, situated in the Himalayan foothills and spread over 250 acres, was established under Section 2(f) of UGC Act 1956, enacted vide an Act of Uttarakhand No. 12 of 2013.

SRHU has devoted itself to academics viz. teaching, training, research in branches of study such as medical sciences, nursing, paramedical, allied health sciences, engineering & technology, biotechnology, & management, besides health care (Himalayan Hospital & Cancer Research Institute) and community outreach through Rural Development Institute.

In consonance with the ideals of Swami Rama, the mission of Swami Rama Himalayan University is to serve humanity and transform & enhance quality of life. This is done through creation and dissemination of knowledge by dedicated faculty, fostering creativity and competency.

To be recognized as a preferred University providing affordable quality education and holistic health-care to patients from all walks of life, across India and abroad. This is achieved by combining ancient wisdom with modern technologies through rigorous research.

The location of the University accessible from all over the country with the Himalayas as its backdrop is especially advantageous for students from even the most remote regions of this State.
