Tenby Schools Setia Eco Gardens started with an international school, Tenby International School (TIS) Setia Eco Gardens in 2013, offering international school programmes for Early Years, Primary and Secondary students. We currently cater for children aged 3 to 14 but will subsequently cater for students aged 15 to 18.
Due to popular demand and to offer a wider academic programme to the local community, the school will be starting classes in Lower Secondary of the Malaysian National Curriculum (Form 1 to Form 3) from January 2015 onwards through the setting up of Sekolah Sri Tenby (SST). Classes in the other year groups will be offered subsequently. SST will operate alongside TIS on the same campus.
Our mission and actions are geared towards developing global citizens of the future who are culturally sensitive and respectful towards others. Tenby students are also groomed to be effective communicators and internationally minded lifelong learners.
Tenby Schools Setia Eco Gardens is unique as it offers both the British International and Malaysian National syllabus. We started as Tenby International School in 2013, catering to Early Years, Primary and Secondary-aged students. Then, in January 2015, we started Sekolah Sri Tenby, which offers the Malaysian National curriculum delivered in a cosmopolitan environment.
Our dual-stream campus provides a unique school environment that lets students get the best of both worlds, with an internationally-minded approach that combines rigorous intellectual endeavour with a broad range of co-curricular activities to provide students with experiences that go beyond the academic.
At all Tenby Schools, we apply a holistic, evidence-based philosophy designed to build the character of students and empower lifelong, independent learning. With our extensive experience in providing international quality education, our educators are able to challenge students on a personal, individualised basis, enabling exposure to repeated experiences that push students towards true breakthroughs in learning.
Here are five more reasons to choose Tenby Schools Setia Eco Gardens for your child’s education:
Encouraging Global-minded Inclusiveness
Tenby Schools Setia Eco Gardens comprises Tenby International School, which was opened in 2013, and Sekolah Sri Tenby, our Malaysian National School which opened in 2015. Our dedicated faculty consists of a mixture of Malaysian and international teachers, giving students a range of national and global perspectives. We want to balance strong academic performance and pastoral care to help students develop an ambitious, international mindset that is both forward-thinking and inclusive.
A Learning School
We believe that learning is a lifelong process of improvement. As such, we are constantly reviewing our learning and teaching processes to ensure that students are engaged in stimulating, challenging and relevant lessons where they can experience constant improvement and progress. This is to help them develop the qualities that will enable them to become responsible members of society, able to thrive in the 21st century.
Nurturing Local and Global Success
We believe that our academic success is due to an ideal blend of local and international educators and approaches. Whether your child studies the International or Malaysian National curriculum, he or she will benefit from an international approach to school life that blends academic focus with a wide variety of pastoral and after-school activities to promote rounded development.
A Part of Global Network
As part of the International Schools Partnership (ISP), we benefit from the wisdom, research and rich educational experience of a group with 50 schools in 15 countries worldwide.
A Place for Amazing Learning
In everything we do, we aim to bring to life moments of Amazing Learning.
Amazing Learning is all about going beyond the level a student thinks possible, and it happens when children are provided opportunities for “good struggle”, where they are exposed to repeated experiences that develop character in perseverance and learning.
We believe that with struggle comes the opportunity to experience breakthroughs. Ultimately, we want children to surprise themselves (and their teachers and parents), so that they can say, “I didn’t realise I could do that until now!”

I’ve been teaching at this amazing school for 10 years, and I’ve loved every moment of it. The environment and culture here are truly inspiring. This is where I started my journey as a teacher, and it’s where I continue to grow. I’m committed to ensuring that amazing learning experiences happen every day at Tenby SEG.

Kids love and happy being in this school. This is the 1st time for them join the English School as they have been in French School previously and they can catch up as the teachers help them to. Friends becomes families that make them feel very comfortable.

I have three children that attend Tenby SEG and I am very impressed with the progress that they have made in their first year there. The teachers go out of their way to meet the individual needs of all of my children in a positive and caring manner. My children are so excited when they receive hands on topics and projects and the good struggles presented in different lessons. My children are learning two additional languages and thrive off the variety of CCA's offered including drama, skipping and robotics.

I am a very happy staff-parent at Tenby SEG. My Year 9 daughter enjoys her school days and gets really upset if she has to miss any school day. She's grown to be an independent, self-directed learner. Next year, I have my little one joining the TIPS Early Explorers and she had a fabulous discovery day just yesterday. The school community makes the journey beautiful and don't take my word for it, come sign up for our discovery day or drop in any of our future community events.

Joining the school team here at Tenby SEG (as staff) made bringing my son over, a natural decision. We appreciate the facilities provided by the school and my son relishes the opportunity to play with his friends in the open fields and play areas available, before his school day begins. It's always a joy walking him to his class in the morning when school is so enjoyable to him <3
