Thorpe Hall Primary School welcomes pupils from Nursery to Year 6. We take pride in being a school with a strong community spirit and an encouraging future.
At Thorpe Hall we support and guide our children by offering enriching opportunities to ensure they grow into independent, resilient and caring members of society. We provide memorable learning experiences that are broad and balanced and inspire our pupils to be confident and creative.
We welcome you to our website and hope that it provides you with an insight into a diverse and inclusive school community that works together towards a culture where students feel safe and valued and are challenged personally and academically to achieve their true potential. We believe that all pupils deserve high quality education which engages, inspires and challenges, so that everyone meets their full potential. We strive to create a safe and happy learning environment which promotes independence and high expectations of all. We are committed to providing opportunities which promote open-mindedness, empathy and celebration of the rich and diverse community we serve so that everyone is able to contribute positively to society. We are dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyle choices so that our pupils develop physically, emotionally and morally. We are determined that our pupils will be successful and leave us as confident, highly educated members of the community.
The Opossum Federation community has identified the following values which guide our work. We expect that all members of our community agree to demonstrate these values. To help protect our rights and to encourage responsibility, we have Golden Expectations for our school which demonstrate our core values. We value the diverse backgrounds of all pupils, families and the wider school community. Our schools reflect British Values in all that we do. We aim to prepare the children to make a positive contribution to British society and the world. Through the curriculum we focus on global citizenship and strong personal values. We nurture independent learning skills, encouraging every student to take responsibility for themselves and their learning.

Thorpe Hall Nursery has been the best start I could wish for my daughter. The facilities and enrichment activities are excellent. The staff are genuinely caring and approachable and have been very supportive as we have encountered speed bumps along our journey as parents.
Every area of my child’s development has been attended to. Not just the academic but the social, emotional and physical

Both my children started in nursery and have continued to love and thrive with the amazing staff and facilities at the school. We visited a number of independent schools before choosing THS and we couldn’t be more happy with that decision. What we love about the school is their dedication and passion to combine learning, technology and values, all of which are taught and/or practiced in equal measure and are always of equal importance.

Never went her as a child but I have volunteered here for 5 years. It is a lovely school with staff that wants to help the children. Sometimes you will find a few students or teachers that are nice but the majority is very nice
