Townsville Christian College is an independent, Prep - Year 12 school in North Queensland. We promote a culture of honour and respect for all people, providing a safe place for students of all backgrounds and cultures. Partnering with parents/guardians is very important to our College and it is our aim to strengthen the family unit by providing pastoral care, counselling and teaching Christian values to students and their families.

Our mission is to provide high quality educational programs, in an active Christian environment, that equips and empowers each student to reach their full potential and influence the world for good.

We love to partner together with families to develop each child's potential to the fullest, and to equip and empower them for a successful future. Townsville Christian College places a strong emphasis on the foundations of literacy and numeracy skill development by utilising a number of learning opportunities that stimulate children to learn. Our dedicated team believes that given the appropriate support, every student can reach their God-given potential.

Our Learning Support Team includes a Learning Support Teacher, Class Teachers & Teaching Assistants, who together aim to support students in mainstream classrooms. Occasionlly, modified or alternate programs may be developed to support a student in their educational journey. The College develops these individual student learning plans when necesssary to support them through a range of activities, both inside and outside the class environment. These may include include intervention strategies, support-a-reader and behaviour management programs.
