Ucluelet Secondary School (USS) is a small rural school located on the beautiful west coast of Vancouver Island. The school provides education for students from six communities: Tofino, Ucluelet, Esowista, Tyhistanis, Opitsaht, & Hitacu. We have approximately 160 students from grades 8-12.

We are an inclusive school that constantly strives to reach our school's system goal of: All students will successfully transition from grade-to-grade culminating in a Dogwood diploma within six years of entering Grade 8.

Unique programs we offer at our school include: Sustainability Studies, Kayaking, and Nuu-chah-nulth. Other elective programs include: Home Economics (textiles and foods & nutrition); Woodwork (furniture making); Visual Art (various medium including media art), Sciences (biology, chemistry, physics, and earth science); Music (concert band & jazz band); Humanities (geography, history, and BC First Nations 12); and French and Information Technology.

We are a small but mighty school that feels more like a big family once you walk through our doors because we believe that all our students are valuable and precious. hišukʷin hašaḥ (we are all valuable, precious)
