Underhill School and Children's Centre

Underhill School and Children's Centre's big goal is to be a school that gives positive ambition and power to the children and families of this community. We have a learning method that gives our children the skills and confidence to progress in the curriculum and pursue their talents both in and outside of the school day, and enables their families to support them in this. It is a school with brilliant opportunities created by a team of very special people who work together to make amazing things happen for this community

Our school values and ethos have been developed to build on all the positives from the past and to take the school into the future so that we are preparing all our children for life beyond primary school. Our values incorporate the skills and attributes needed to be a success in the 21st century. We call this the Underhill Way.

We have a fantastic staff team at Underhill School and Children’s Centre who are all committed to providing the best opportunities our pupils and families.

We are a community with a rich variety of home languages, cultures, faiths and traditions and this is highly valued and celebrated both in the curriculum and in school life. Together with the Children's Centre, we provide a wide range of services and support for our families and the wider community.

We believe that parental partnership is vital to ensuring the well being and academic success of pupils. Parents are an essential component of our school community. We welcome parents to come into the school to support the children in their learning. Our PTA hold events throughout the year in order to help raise money to further enrich activities within the school. The governors also work effectively with the school to ensure the best possible provision and outcomes for its pupils.
