University of Applied Management Studies

Founded in 2011, in Mannheim, Germany, the University of Applied Management Studies is a private Management School, fully accredited by the state of Baden-Wurttemberg. We offer a range of subsidised Bachelor degree programmes and a wide range of management staff development courses for public and private sector organisations, including executive Master’s programmes. Our majority shareholder, the non-profit “International Bund” has, for many years, played an active role in developing the German education market and guarantees our financial solidity.

The Bachelor degree programmes at UAMS are based on a unique combination of classical, full time study and the successful German “cooperative education” model – “Subsidised Management Degrees”. The content of our degree courses was developed in cooperation with companies, both household names, and innovative medium-size companies, to ensure that the needs of the labour market are fully met.

Due to a special financing model, made possible by support from our partner companies and the state of Baden-Wurttemberg, there is a win-win situation for all parties. During their studies, the students get to know a variety of potential employers and partner companies get to know a variety of potential future employees.

We set high standards in research which, paired with the support from partner companies, guarantees a first class academic education with an excellent learning environment.

When selecting our students, we look for applicants whose qualifications are a good match for the selected course requirements. This leads to a low drop-out rate. In addition we are keen to encourage equal opportunities and social diversity. Our application process helps us to optimise the balance between personal traits and competences on the one hand, and the requirements of the programmes on the other hand. The combination of an ideal learning environment and the practical experience during the internship, develops individual potential and leads to effective and efficient studying.

Located in the heart of Mannheim, we offer students from all over the world a multitude of opportunities to get to know the German culture and the German language whilst studying for your BA Management in International Business in English. Alternatively, you can get your German to the necessary standard with the Goethe Institut, our partner on our campus. Whichever route, you will experience learning in small groups, in a family atmosphere, and with a strong orientation towards business needs.
