Very Berry Nursery (VBN)

Very Berry Nursery (VBN) is a wonderful, nurturing, colorful and exciting place for children to be in. After the initial settling in time where children part from their Mummy for the first time, they are welcomed into their age category Berry Room by our caring and experienced teachers. Our key focus is ensuring the children feel happy and content in their new environment. The teachers create a warm, secure and above all a friendly atmosphere.
Our bright spacious rooms are full of new experiences and toys to explore. The gentle introduction of sounds and numbers are put forward through fantastic hands-on experiences. Clay, paint, dough and sand are just a few of the many ways we help and encourage children to learn while playing and having fun.

As the children approach four, we continue to embrace the varied and exciting wonder of learning more sounds and numbers. With gentle encouragement our aim for most of our children is to leave us knowing all their sounds and some even starting to read. The Blue Berry Room is more structured to help the children prepare for the smooth transition up to big school. Circle time, outside play and individual work are equally important.

We observe daily and plan according to the childs individual needs. All our teachers aim to give each child a fun, exciting and worthwhile learning experience. You will be a witness to this if you come in and visit! – VBN Team

Children can discover that they are important and learning can be fun. Our philosophy is to recognize and accept the uniqueness of each child to create an initial school experience where children can comfortably and freely explore their environment to permit development in ways which are natural for every child.

We provide a broad and balanced curriculum which sets out the Early Learning goals for the Early years foundation (EYFS) within the seven areas of learning. In early years we focus on the prime domains!
