Job Summary
The role holder is responsible for defining the strategy for STC’s websites/micro-sites, defining the site architecture, and ensuring governance and alignment with brand guidelines. The role holder is also responsible for driving consistent content standards. The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedures.
Managerial Responsibilities
- Participates in the development and implementation of the Digital Management plans, in line with the corporate objectives.
- Directs and manages the Web Management Section mandates, providing leadership and facilitating work processes in order to achieve high performance standards.
- Interprets and implements change in the Web Management Section providing guidance and support, necessary for continuous improvement.
- Ensures compliance with organizational policies, procedures and quality standards in the Web Management Section.
Core Responsibilities
Digital Strategy
- Defines the corporate website and micro sites/portal communication objectives and requirements, incorporating needs from various internal stakeholders such as Marketing, Sales, Customer Care Centers, etc.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop marketing and communications plans that leverage the web space.
Web Space Development
- Consolidates business requirements from different BUs and executes tasks in coordination with IT sector.
- Ensures website governance, defining site architecture, look and feel, content standards and alignment with brand guidelines.
- Coordinates with IT department and/or contractors to ensure website development needs are met.
Process Management
- Assesses user feedback and engages with visitors in accordance with Corporate Communication principles.
- Monitors site performance constantly to ensure that there aren’t any functional/technical glitches in the website.
People Management Responsibilities
- Defines goals and key performance indicators for each member of the team and ensures effective application of the STC performance management process.
- Directs planning and selection of manpower in the Web Management Section, in line with the business and operational plans.
- Ensures high level of employee engagement and capability development by providing on-going feedback and coaching team members within the Web Management Section.
- Performs other responsibilities and tasks as directed by the Director – Digital Management in order to meet sector objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations or any other related.
Years of Experience
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Nature of Experience
Prior experience in Web Content Management/Strategy area.
Desired Skills & Knowledge
- Good knowledge of online and web marketing
- Good knowledge of STC business, including clients, markets and target audience
- Understanding of how search engines and websites work
- Ability to generate ideas and solutions
- Strong listening and questioning skills
