We are fortunate to have a caring, committed staff; supportive parents and carers; and a skilled governing body who work in partnership to ensure the best outcomes for our pupils. Together, we encourage our children to be motivated to learn and to celebrate their achievements.
We pride ourselves on setting high expectations for all, in everything we do. We strive for excellence, aiming only for the best in terms of conduct and academic achievement. At the same time, we are truly inclusive and have an excellent track record in ensuring high quality provision for pupils who are vulnerable or who have additional needs. Pastoral care is strong and lies at the heart of our ethos.
We were delighted therefore when our Ofsted inspection in 2014 graded us 'outstanding' in all categories: teaching and learning, quality of provision, behaviour, and leadership and management. Since then we have continued to work hard to maintain our high standards and to provide the best possible education for our children; we continually evaluate our curriculum to ensure that it is exciting, varied, challenging and accessible for all pupils.
Visitors to the school often comment on the high standards of behaviour, calm and productive atmosphere and the approachable, friendly demeanour of the whole school community. It is, indeed, a supportive, cohesive community, where pupils and staff from a diverse range of backgrounds and faiths enjoy learning together in harmony.
At Wells Primary School, we strive to ensure that every child enjoys a happy, fulfilling and successful education within a safe, nurturing environment. Our curriculum therefore aims to:
Conscientious, committed staff endeavour to make every child feel equally valued and cherished so that they are well-placed to learn and achieve. Alongside strong pastoral support, high expectation is central to the ethos of the school - if we are going to do a job, we are going to do it properly. All employees are expected to share this commitment to excellence. Enthusiastic teachers and support staff aim to motivate and inspire children with a well-delivered, interesting curriculum.
An equally committed governing body works closely with the headteacher, senior management and other staff to challenge and support the team in its mission for excellence. The Governing Body works effectively towards a common goal – to provide the best possible opportunities for Wells’ pupils.
Another key principle of Wells is to work closely in partnership with parents and carers and provide a welcoming environment. The headteacher has made this a key priority and aims to actively involve parents/carers in the pupils’ education wherever possible.

Thank you once again for doing your part to keep Edarabia the most trusted education source.
This school in my opinion is probably the best school in Redbridge. The teachers are friendly and the Headteacher is a pleasure to be around.

As a student in year 7 looking back from Nursery to Year 6 Wells is probably the best school around. They always look out or your kids and if any pupil has been bad they deal with it properly.
