Wesleyan School

Wesleyan School is a Christ-centered, academically stimulating K-12 college preparatory school located in Peachtree Corners, Georgia. We are fiercely and passionately committed to being a community that honors and glorifies Jesus Christ. This is the primary purpose of our existence and the core of our mission. Whether during a school play, a science lab, a mission trip or a baseball game, we want to be intentional in our desire to be an authentic, Christ-centered environment.

Faith and intellect enhance one another when students are appropriately challenged by enthusiastic teachers who are passionate about their faith, their subject, and the students in their care. This philosophy continues to be proven true by our graduates’ success in college and beyond.

The world tells us that in order to be a committed follower of Jesus Christ, we must “check our brain at the door.” We simply do not agree. What originally drew me to Wesleyan was the fervent belief that being genuinely Christ-centered and having a zeal for academic and intellectual curiosity are not mutually exclusive.

Collectively, the board of trustees, administration, faculty, and staff of Wesleyan School are focused on meeting the needs of students and their families. The culture in which we live is actively fighting against families and working to force children to grow up too soon. We want to be part of the solution, not part of the problem. In that way, we see ourselves as counter-cultural as we seek to provide our students with an atmosphere that is challenging, reinforces the value of hard work, and emphasizes character and integrity above accomplishment.

Our mission is to be a Christian school of academic excellence by providing each student a diverse college preparatory education guided by Christian principles and beliefs; by challenging and nurturing the mind, body, and spirit; and by developing responsible stewardship in our changing world.

Wesleyan School is anchored in the Christian faith and acknowledges reliance upon God as Creator, Jesus Christ as Lord, and the Holy Spirit as the Divine Presence in the world. Believing that all children are uniquely gifted, the school offers a college preparatory program which challenges, nurtures, and strengthens all its students. The school community welcomes students of diverse racial, cultural, and religious backgrounds.

Wesleyan seeks to develop in each young person a desire to learn and to become a good citizen in serving the local community and the world beyond. The programs at Wesleyan promote spiritual, intellectual, physical and social growth. Through daily living, the school strives to create a community which exemplifies Christian values and demonstrates their implications for the individual and society. Because experience at home indelibly influences the spiritual and intellectual development and emotional health of each child, Wesleyan regards parents as essential partners in its educational endeavor. The school thus expects and values parental support of its foundational principles and goals.

The goal of academics at Wesleyan School is to provide a broad spectrum of learning opportunities within a Christian environment, wherein students are encouraged to reach their full potential. Teachers provide critical and creative thinking opportunities through differentiated instructional methods. Students are exposed to decision-making strategies that provide them the skills to be valuable and resourceful citizens in their local communities and the world beyond.
