Why learning Math is an important to a child's growth and success?

Throughout the early years, children explore various mathematical dimensions of the world they are living in. They use mathematical concepts while finding patterns, comparing quantities or building a tall skyscraper using Legos. Mathematics helps them make sense of their world and build a solid foundation for success not only during the school years but at a later stage of their lives. Mathematics is an important tool that develops children’s logical reasoning skills while dealing with practical challenges. Children need mathematics not only in math courses but in science, social studies, statistics and other subjects. Mathematical proficiency is a gateway to finding jobs in technology and financial industries and making informed decisions in respective jobs, households and civic societies.

An engaging and encouraging environment for early encounters with mathematics develops Children’s confidence. These positive experiences help children to develop curiosity, imagination, flexibility, inventiveness which contribute to their future success.

Educators should actively introduce mathematical concepts in their teaching strategies. Children should be encouraged to identify connections of various ideas within mathematics as well as with other subjects, developing their mathematical knowledge across the curriculum. They should encourage children to communicate, explaining their thinking as they solve problems and challenges in deep and sustained ways.

There are various methodologies available to encourage children to learn Mathematics and deepen their concepts and understanding. We at “Premier Genie” have been successfully using “Four I Methods” with fantastic results – Identify& Integrate Instruct and Introspect.

I agree that children should learn mathematics because it helps students to calculate fast, increase mental power, focus & increase confidence in them .I think children have to attend programs which focus on their mental abilities, develops learning skills etc. But we also should consider the behavioral aspect of children.Children face behavioral problems like hyperactivity, anger ,stubborness, violence etc.Sometimes the parents cannot solve their problem. I want to share some tips about Behavioral Development - * Develop the students sense of responsibility & self esteem. * Raise the parents & educators awareness about the problem. * There are programs which modifies & improves behavior of children using accurate & highly efficient educational tools.
