Widyatama University is a higher education institution which completely the result of long-term goals and aspiration purposed in realizing the educational eagerness which was initiated and born from the founders’ idealism starting with accounting education program since 1973. The journey resulted the establishment of four academies, by Decree of the Minister of National Education no. 137 / D / O / 2001 dated 2 August 2001, and changed to Widyatama University with five faculties.
The challenges faced by universities are not limited to the above responsibilities. Continual environmental changing which are marked by the characteristics of profession that requires manpower with skills and competencies as well as a global orientation; obviously demanding an increase in the qualifications of human resources that have the creativity and courage in creating innovation.
Furthermore, Widyatama University is one of the elements of improving the quality of human resources of Indonesia through education; which is to be expected and strived to form a comprehensive and sustainable quality improvement for the nation and state. The trust given by the parents of students, society and employment will lead to the achievement of our common goals, which is a qualified Indonesian human accompanied by proper and decent moralities. Widyatama University widely opens the opportunity to whom they may concern to gain knowledge. Widyatama University was established on August 2, 2001, based on the Decree of Minister of National Education no. 137 / D / 0/2001. Widyatama University is a merger of Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi Bandung (STIEB), Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Bahasa Bandung (STIBB), Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Bandung (STTBW), Sekolah Tinggi Desain Komunikasi Visual (STDKV) and Magister of Management. The incorporation of the academy into the University of Widyatama is purposed to create students become highly competitive graduates. The further step carried out by Widyatama University is developing a serious and consistent effort to realize an education service system by ISO-9001: 2008 standard.

It's no longer an experience because I often go back and forth to Widiatama. For steady security, friendly, safe and comfortable. On 07/27/21 yesterday I received the vaccine at the Widiatama campus. The implementation was fast and orderly without crowds. And the service is very good.

My beloved campus, the campus is really big, I'm tired of being late for class or having the wrong class, hehe. BTW, the campus is comfortably organized and there are many facilities such as GSG or multi-purpose buildings that can be rented for events such as weddings, etc., parks, mosques, etc. There are still lots of shady trees here which makes it cool, Widyatama is also building a new building next to the mosque which is really instagrammable of course and under the building there is official merchandise from Widyatama, there are sweaters, card holders, goodie bags etc. There is also a good library here.

This university is one of the leading private universities in the city of Bandung, which was previously known as STIEB (Bandung College of Economics). The various majors available include Accounting Economics, Management, Languages, Engineering, and DKV. The library is very complete and often becomes a reference for students from other campuses.

In the language faculty there are Japanese and English departments
For the engineering faculty, there are departments of informatics, industry and information systems. Due to the new policy, there are 2 new departments in engineering, namely the mechanical and civil departments.
