Wood End primary school

Wood End Primary School is a happy and vibrant place. We offer a safe and stimulating environment for the children to learn in. The children and their parents are also extremely happy with the school

Our school is set in lovely large grounds with an ICT Suite, an Art, Design and Technology room, two libraries, a music room, rooms to facilitate small group learning as well as two large playgrounds, a playing field and a sports field.

The school has two large single storey buildings.  The Key Stage 1 and 2 playgrounds have a variety of play equipment installed, including adventure playgrounds and an area where the Early Years and Key Stage 1 children can play on bikes and scooters at lunchtime.  The children are also able to play on the large playing field as well as the sports field.  There is a separate playground for Reception classes, with a plethora of activities for the children to engage in.  There are 2 large canopies in the playground so that outdoor learning and play can take place throughout the year. The Key Stage 2 playground also has three canopies foe the children to utilise.

Whilst academic achievements are important part of life at our school, all our children also have the opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of sporting and musical opportunities, as well as regular trips and residential visits. Our pastoral care is exceptional, ensuring all children are kept safe and are supported both inside and outside school, proud of our exceptionally experienced and dedicated staff, who - with support from our Governors - ensure that all our children are well supported to achieve their true potential, and work hard with families to overcome any barriers to learning.

Another very important part of our school is you, the parent! We champion the link between school, and parents and work very hard to involve you in every step of your child's time here...and increase your child's enjoyment of learning. Strong family support such as this is fundamental to giving children a stepping stone  to the future.
