The Woodlands Christian Academy

The Woodlands Christian Academy is an independent, Christ-centered college preparatory school that integrates learning with Biblical faith and spiritual growth, and challenges students to reach their highest potential – intellectually, creatively, physically and socially – for the glory of Jesus Christ.

We are blessed with a beautiful 40-acre campus and small class sizes, which makes social distancing possible. With approximately 630 students returning to campus, we have upgraded our facilities to ensure the health and safety of our students.

Our devoted teachers and technological capabilities makes distance learning possible, and students are able to maintain relationships and stay engaged in class. Whether on or off campus, our students receive the same challenging academic experience that makes Woodlands Christian stand out.

Woodlands Christian has partnered with World Vision Ignite in a new and exciting long-term program to create global leaders with a biblical worldview. Instead of traditional child sponsorship where a child in the developing world is chosen, children in Zambia viewed photos of our students and chose our 9th graders to be their sponsors and friends.

Over the course of the next few years in high school, our 9th graders will get to know their new friends and form real relationships while engaging in curriculum that explores the root causes of poverty.

While our curriculum has always been rigorous and innovative, we have recently focused our efforts toward the expansion of our STEAM program. Our students are introduced to challenge-based learning beginning in pre-k and on through graduation.

The completion of the Micah Academic Center lent a tremendous amount of possibility for maintaining an advanced STEAM program for high school students. This not only helps students to develop exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills, it introduces valuable lessons in failure with almost all projects requiring them to revisit past failures and rebuild.

The Woodlands Christian Academy is a Pre-K - 12th grade college prep school. We are accredited by both AdvancEd and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). Curriculum is vertically aligned from Pre-K through 12th grade, preparing students for success throughout their education.

Woodlands Christian offers honors and Advanced Placement classes as well as a Distinguished Honors Program. Technology, creativity and innovation are integrated into every classroom as our teachers embrace 21st century learning. For this reason, Woodlands Christian is recognized as an Apple Distinguished School.
