Woolmore is a happy, inclusive and exciting place to learn and our children love coming to school. We have been in our purpose-built new school building since February 2015, where we have developed into a thriving three-form entry primary school.
To ensure that every child achieves success, we ask ourselves ‘what would it take?’ to move forward – and then we do it! We offer children great teaching, guidance and support, and we help them grow into good global citizens. We have high expectations for everyone connected to our school community: children, parents, staff, governors and visitors. We work together and we are proud of the standards we achieve.
Our curriculum is designed to help ALL CHILDREN ACHIEVE SUCCESS and to embrace our DO MORE, BE MORE, WOOLMORE approach which is underpinned by our school values*.
At Woolmore, we regularly review our curriculum to ensure it meets our children’s evolving needs. Our vision for our children’s time with us is that they leave us as curious, collaborative, competent and confident individuals. We are about ‘switching our children on’ to opportunities, learning and ways of being which will help them grow up to be young people, and adults, who contribute positively to their communities.
We work with children (and their families) to help broaden their experiences and opportunities. We recognise that for many of our children we need to work hard to help them make links and better recognise the world around them. We are thoughtful about what our children know, understand and recall over time. This means we work hard not to overload our curriculum, instead we make informed choices about what and how we want our children to learn in more depth.

Woolmore Primary School has undergone a lot of changes over the last few years. Having been a student of the School myself many many years ago I feel that the School has adapted and transitioned through the changes extremely well. The HeadTeacher Ms Argent is very involved in the wellbeing of all the students, parents and her staff. Not all Teachers are the same which is to be expected but they all reflect the same School ethos, aims and goals, being to provide a safe and positive learning environment for all children to flourish. This attitude stems from management and would not work as well if the school was not managed well. I would recommend this School to any potential parents, my boys enjoy going to school every single day!
