With over 15 nationalities represented, XIS teachers average over 12 years of teaching experience. XIS students score above the world average on the MAP (Measures of Academic Progress), the SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test), and on IB exams. The result is when our students graduate from XIS, many attend prestigious universities in all corners of the world.
Xiamen International School began in a section of Ying Cai School. Three years later, just across the road, construction begin on a new purpose-built 33,000 square meter Pre-K to 12 international school campus in Xiamen’s rapidly developing Jimei District. In August 2002, XIS students moved into their new campus. The campus, with convenient access to the MTR station stop and all major arteries, is just 25 minutes from central Xiamen City. Most students access XIS by our modern fleet of school buses.
The school facility consists of three connected buildings housing all enrolled students from pre-kindergarten to grade 12. In addition to the well-resourced general classrooms, XIS students enjoy three art studios, two IT labs, a design lab, a 3-D printer lab, three music rooms (with several practice rooms attached), and three science labs. A large library, serving the XIS community, holds over 30,000 volumes. Nestled next to the library, on the ground floor of the elementary school building, is the newly constructed early childhood center with an adjacent free-play outdoor center.
On the east side of the XIS campus is a full-sized soccer pitch, several outdoor multi-sport courts, a track, and a tennis court. On the top level of our facilities is our air-conditioned gymnasium and indoor swimming pool.

This is the school I went to around the first grade of elementary school.
It's a place I have a lot of memories with, and I miss the friends and teachers I went there with.
I hope to visit again sometime.
