Ysgol Bro Sannan

Our curriculum adheres to the requirements of the National Curriculum. It encompasses every activity we provide in order to enrich the learning experience and promote personal growth and development. It is based on four core purposes, as outlined by Professor Graham Donaldson in. We are proud of the outstanding provision our pupils receive at Ysgol Bro Sannan. Pupils are supported and challenged appropriately at every stage of their education. Achievement-in its many forms-is celebrated and shared, whether it is academic, musical, creative, physical or artistic.

Ysgol Bro Sannan is an inclusive school and inclusion is at the heart of everything we do. We are one of the very few schools in the authority to have received the national accreditation for inclusion, the IQM. The full report is available in the "Reports" section.

• Prepare pupils for life as a citizen of modern Wales, and develop in them an understanding of what it means to be a global citizen.
• Develop pupils who are proud to be bilingual and understand the advantages of bilingualism in modern society.
• Develop an understanding and appreciation of Welsh cultural and spiritual heritage.
• Enable pupils to acquire and apply basic literacy, numeracy and digital skills in a wide range of contexts.
• Promote a positive attitude towards education and overcoming barriers to learning.
• Develop an understanding of justice, truth and fairness, and what it means to live in an ethical society.
• Enable pupils to value themselves, their views and ideas, and also respect differences in others.
