The school's vision is that the majority of the pupils will speak Welsh confidently with staff and peers in formal and informal situations by the time they leave primary school. We aim to increase the use of Welsh socially in the school, on the yard and in the community.

Friends of Ysgol y Traeth are a long established group who raise money within the community to help support your child's time at Ysgol y Traeth.

We have funded projects such as the Bicycle Shelter, subsidised transport costs for activities away from school site, sponsored additional learning materials to support the children in their education and provide entertainment such as the Year 6 Prom Party each year. We are always looking for new volunteers and ideas, so please make contact with us and help us to help your child.

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the Ysgol Y Traeth website. The school has a long tradition of being a successful, caring and happy institution. It offers education of the highest standard possible that reflects the requirements of the Education Authority, the Welsh Government, society and the individual.
