Students of YBIS are guided in the path to understand and conserve nature. Students are involved in projects and activities in lieu with N Park’s attempt to maintain Singapore as a garden city. The butterfly garden at our school serves as evidence to our students love for nature.

Enabling students to gain a deep understanding of the concepts and potentially allow them to solve problems.

Problem based learning
Providing guidance in place of solutions, facilitate the learning process to find solutions.

Thematic learning
Designing themes by integrating concepts of existing curricula and learning through discussions, role plays and group activities.

YBIS Learner profile comprises of a diverse culture and nationalities from varied childhood environments. To cater to this multitude of learners, choice of curricula is offered.

YBIS - Preschool Montessori Programme is an integrative, in-house curriculum which coalesces the Montessori Method of teaching and the syllabus and initiatives of the Singapore system of education. YBIS Montessori Curriculum, fosters the formative stages of social, emotional, physical and cognitive skills to become an independent learner. Changing demands are met through the process of discovery, discipline, self- motivation and love of learning.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) fosters holistic education through its pedagogical approach sustaining an equal emphasis on both scholastic and co-scholastic areas.

The prime focus of the Board is on:

  • Innovations in teaching-learning methodologies by devising students friendly and students cantered paradigms.
  • Reforms in examinations and evaluation practices.
  • Skill learning by adding job-oriented and job-linked inputs.

Cambridge Primary is for Class 1 to Class 5 structured through curriculum frameworks in English, Mathematics, Science and Global Perspectives. Each framework is divided into 6 stages, normally taught over 1 year each but YBIS covers these 6 stages within a span of 5 years.

Cambridge Lower Secondary is for Class 6 to Class 8 which builds on the learning from Cambridge Primary and prepares the learners for the Cambridge Upper Secondary study. There are 3 stages in the curriculum framework and is covered within 3 years. Find out more about the curriculum:

The school is good and I had also been studying in it for many years. The teachers are really kind and also the school staff is also very cooperative..
Its very good in extra curricular activities like sports and is good academically too.. Would definitely recommend it. :)

Our experience when it comes to Montessori for my kid has been amazing! Great progress for him and not just focused on academics but more socially conscious learning!! Very affordable among the near by schools is a big plus!!

My daughters joined yuvabharathi this year...and had lockdown so had to attend hbl ...the way the teachers have conducted hbl was sooo appreciative ..fabulous job could see the extra efforts they took to keep the kids engaged n also learn ...with the normal schooling that started from June my daughters have been always so happy to go to school everyday also I have seen them become more curious n wanting to know about everything..it's a relief for any parent when ur child wants to go to school smilingly n also b back with a twinkling shine ...thankyou to all the teachers u all are moulding our children into better human beings in all possible ways!!!!

Really a worthy international school with very good teaching staffs and moderate fees,compared with rest of the isl .Principal and all management heads are quite approachable and I am personally happy and proudly recommend any new comments to join this great school.
