Job Summary

Customer Focus

  • Be first responder to all inquiries coming in. These can be any general information about programs/ services offered by Fitness Center or Athletics.
  • Ensure the iPad/s in the Fitness Center have all the appropriate information on it so that when customers come into the gym, it is all up to date information/flyers/schedules etc.
  • Be able to answer any phone inquiries coming in. (Depending on where he/she will sit, the phones will be routed to him/her so that he/she will be answering calls when on duty).
  • Man front-desk of the gym during busy hours.

Social Media / Marketing

  • Create / design flyers for various activities to generate interest amongst the students and community.
  • Distribute flyers (for FB or /and Intranet) depending on where it is required and to Community Life and other areas depending on flyer information (bulletin boards/residences etc).
  • Generate ‘narratives’, ‘blurbs’ and ‘tweets’ to advertise various events and activities for Facebook, twitter and for announcements.
  • Update Events Calendar and Group Fitness Class calendars.
  • Ensure information on a web page, intranet and student portal are correct and to work with Lindsay to make sure it is all correct.
  • Post announcements/ update regularly for various events and activities.

Administrative

  • Data reconciliation of all attendance for REC classes as well as PT stats.
  • Process ePro requests, payment releases, and reimbursements when required.
  • Filing and maintaining the department drive and folders.
  • Assisting in preparation of monthly reports for Senior Leadership.

Appointments

  • Assist with updating the system and to ensure that there are no over-bookings.
  • Keep a watch out for cancellations and ensure that they are being done within the time frame allotted. If not, send a warning letter or/ and block client.

Skills Required

  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Bright, can do attitude.
  • Ability to work with a whole range of individuals.
  • Degree educated with at least 1 years experience.
