GEMS Winchester School - Abu Dhabi opened in 2013 and offers the National Curriculum of England from Foundation Stage to Year 9. All the Class rooms are equipped with overhead projectors and some have Promethean interactive whiteboards or large LCD touch screens. Internet WiFi connection is available in all the class rooms and throughout the school campus. ICT is a key component in lesson delivery. The spacious, air-conditioned, multi-purpose sports hall is a superb indoor facility for students to play numerous indoor games and practice skills. It is full air conditioned.
In addition to a large multi-purpose sports hall, The School has a small sport field to encourage specialized learning in different outdoor games. It also has a very large shaded quad area. The School believes in bringing out the creative best in its pupils. Art & Craft and Music Rooms promote encouragement and support for talented young artists and musicians in every age - group, while encouraging everyone to develop these skills.
The School has One Computer Laboratory with internet connection and multi-media facilities. Computing is a compulsory component of the curriculum up to Year 9. However in addition to the lab there are many lap tops and ipads that are available for student use. GEMS Winchester has one well-resourced library stocked with books, periodicals and a variety of other resources catering to all age groups. A love of reading is encouraged from a very young age, as an independent way to enjoy learning and to gain knowledge.

I used to go to this school, and i can truly say without a doubt that it is one of the best schools. The atmosphere and environment is so homely, warm and welcoming. So grateful to have been able to study at such a school. I truly miss the environment.

This school has gone up from strength to strength every session for sure. I have my own son inducted in this school (currently in grade-2) and the other one will be joining from Sep 2018 session as well (insha Allah). Very nice teaching staff, the principle and management officials are always very active and ready to help.
Let us remember here that every parent has a different approach to groom his/her child. Mine is not to overburden the child and let the child enjoy the schooling experience because come on, let us all admit, our school days (for vast majority) have been surely the most care free best enjoyable days of our lives.
The fee is bearable as well for the level of education, the social activities are also fantastic !

I know this school as my kids started with it since the birth of school, i.e. the year 2013. The school current progress is going fine and progressive in steadfast manner. I am satisfied with progress of my kids in GWS.

Great communication between staff and parents. The principal and senior staff are always available in the school lobby during start and end of day for anyone to discuss their issues. Weekly curriculum is uploaded before the weekend starts and so is the homework along with past week's Ppts for Every subject. This way parents are totally in the loop every week. Some of the other A category schools should also adopt this kind of communication.
