Job Summary
The Geography Department at Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) invites applications for a temporary full-time (100% non-regular type 2) faculty position in Human Geography. Expertise and ability in Human Geography is required. Preference will be given to candidates with a PhD and a record of excellence in undergraduate teaching.
Candidates should be capable of teaching a combination of the department’s core Human Geography courses, with a focus on Urban Geography, including the following:
GEOG 1101 – Human Geography
GEOG 2380 – Qualitative Methods in Geography
GEOG 3130 – Society and Urban Space
GEOG 3220 – Urban Politics and Planning
Courses associated with this position will be taught on the Surrey campus. A full-time teaching load at KPU is eight course sections per year.
