IJF was started in 2013 by Chris Brown merging the Umbro Academy he founded at the Jebel Ali Centre of Excellence in 2006. IJF continues to run its academy and programmes at the Jebel Ali Centre of Excellence along with 4 other locations with a participation of over 350 kids. IJF runs the FA courses for training football coaches and helping them earn the FA licenses. Recently IJF joined hands with KOOH Sports – a leading sports education and training company headquartered in India. Through associations, IJF is also connected with Absolute Sports Services which offers premium swimming and gymnastics coaching.

IJF Academy is one of the finest youth development academies led by experienced coaches who excel in young player development. We build players with drive, passion, enthusiasm and a will to succeed. The programme devises sessions that are specific to the age range, the squad (future players, development or advanced) and also the individual. Working across the 4 corners of the game involving technical, physical, physiological & tactical - In Possession, Out of possession and the Transition with our older players. The IJF Academy season lasts for 38 weeks and is split into 3 terms. Players compete weekly in the JA Youth League, play friendlies and tournaments home and abroad. All coaches are English FA qualified up to FA level 2 with senior coaches UEFA A OR B licensed.

This new International course has been designed by FA Learning to encompass the new FA Coaching philosophy and introduce you to a series of technical and theoretical aspects related to coaching. It is the first of three levels (Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced) which build upon each other and offer a comprehensive learning programme for internationally based coaches. The foundation Course includes a range of practices that can be utilised for a variety of players in different situations. In addition, there will be help on how to adapt coaching sessions to meet the needs of your players, including working as a coach with limited resources at your disposal.
