Al Maha Academy

Al Maha boys is one of three academies that come under the umbrella of the Ta’allum Group. The academy comprises of three schools, Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary each led by their respective heads. The Primary school (years 1 – 6) is the largest of our three schools and has just over 1000 students. The secondary school has just over 500 students with students completing their IGCSEs, AS Levels and Qatar Thanawia by the end of year 12. The academy employs over 250 members of staff both academic and non-academic.

Our Mission in school is committed to providing high quality education to raise a generation of continuous learners who are dedicated to the community and have high moral Islamic values and strong leadership skills. Our Vision to provide an Excellent internationally recognised education with Islamic identity.

We at Al Maha For Boys are committed to providing information related to administration and operations in a manner that is clear, concise, organized, accessible, and current. To that end, we identify and classify our policies, regulations, and rules. This system provides ease of use to students, Teachers, Staff, and Community, as well as others such as potential students and employees.

The Al Maha For Boys Knowledge Centre represents a collaborative effort, involving the school, family and community in developing an appropriate inclusive educational programme. At our core we aim to meet the varying needs of all students identified as having Special Educational Needs (SEN) by modifying the curriculum and equipping the students with self-management skills, so that they are better able to access the curriculum. Cultural, Islamic and Taribiyyah values are deeply embedded into all our approaches.

Through a well-structured system of Referrals, Assessments and Provisions, the SEN team intervene at the earliest stage in order to accommodate the needs of each student. Thus ensuring that individual students are supported throughout their educational journey, securing them opportunities to achieve and become confident members of the wider community. Pupil enrolled in the Knowledge Centre have access to a range of high quality resources to support them in their learning. Amongst the resources pupils may access is a powerful reading recovery resources developed in the United States - LEXIA Core 5. Lexia Reading Core5 provides explicit, systematic, personalized learning in the six areas of reading instruction. This research-proven, technology-based approach accelerates reading skills development.
