Al-Bayan Bilingual School

Al-Bayan Bilingual School was created with a vision to prepare students for the world of today and the challenges of tomorrow. The school offers a bilingual program in which the Arabic and English languages carry equal emphasis and status, the goal of which is to bridge global progress with the traditional values of Arab culture. The school aims to foster an environment for students to develop the intellectual qualities, ethical values, and positive attitudes required for effective participation and leadership in the overall development of Kuwait and the rapidly changing world. BBS was established in1977 as the first bilingual school in the Arabian Gulf area.

BBS has been a leading bilingual educational institution, aiming at preparing and inspiring students to become lifelong learners, ethical and innovative change agents in Kuwait and the global environment. We carry on our mission this year with a greater focus on students’ talents as well as the myriad opportunities in which students can build their character, develop leadership and lead an impactful and fulfilling school life. Exceptional learning happens at BBS both inside the classroom led by professional educators from the heart, as well as outside the classroom, in students’ clubs & activities, international trips and field experiences.

BBS was the first school to embark on a path that defined the Arabic and English bilingual model and, as such, Fawzia paved the way for future bilingual schools in Kuwait. She was highly involved in the philosophical foundation of the school. Her clear vision and mission was responsible for the school’s success as one of the most influential private schools in Kuwait with graduates that have proven to be responsible global citizens who are committed to Kuwait and the communities that surround it.
