A Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE)® facilitates and leads team efforts to establish and monitor customer/supplier relations, supports strategic planning and deployment initiatives, and helps develop measurement systems to determine organizational improvement.” – ASQ.

Course Expectations

Participants will be able to:

• Lead process-improvement initiatives in a variety of service and industrial settings
• Lead team efforts to establish and monitor relations
• Support strategic planning and deployment initiatives
• Motivate and evaluate staff
• Determine and evaluates related risk
• Employ knowledge management tools and techniques in resolving organizational challenges.

Prerequisites

You must have 10 years of on-the-job experience in one or more of the areas of the Certified Manager of Quality/ Organizational Excellence Body of Knowledge. A minimum of five years of this experience must be in a decision-making position, defined as the authority to define, execute, or control projects/processes and to be responsible for the outcome. This may or may not include management or supervisory positions.

Also, the applicant should have:

• Diploma from a technical or trade school—one year will be waived
• Associate degree—two years waived
• Bachelor’s degree—four years waived
• Master’s or doctorate—five years waived
• This course prepares candidates to sit the CMQ/OE® Professional exam.
