The ADNOC Scholarship program was established in 1974. Today ADNOC continues to be a leader in nurturing the next generation of UAE nationals by investing in their higher education.

At ADNOC, we believe that every student should have access to the world’s leading academic institutions to enable their intellectual and personal growth. We provide guidance and support for outstanding students to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate programs in specialized disciplines at prestigious institutions, both within the UAE and abroad.

Key objectives of ADNOC Scholarship Program are to:

  • Supply a pool of people with training in a range of technical disciplines to support the advancement of the UAE’s industrial and economic objectives.
  • Invest in the education of the local community by encouraging young UAE Nationals to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate qualification in technical disciplines relevant to the future direction of the ADNOC Group.
  • To promote and maintain high academic standards for scholars, thereby ensuring that the best UAE National talent is developed and that such high academic standards are maintained throughout the duration of the scholars’ academic programs.

This is what we look for in our applicants:

  • Be accepted by one of the approved academic institutions for a course of study with an approved academic major
  • Be medically fit
  • Passed interview with ADNOC Scholarship Department
  • Obtained military service release letter (if applicable)

Studying overseas? You will also need:

Undergraduate program:

  • High School Certificate (or equivalent) in science stream (or equivalent)
  • Average final examinations results of not less than 90%from an accredited school1 with minimum achievement of 85% in each science subject
  • TOEFL (or equivalent) score of 80 and above / IELTS 6.0 and above

1Accredited by Ministry of Education (“MoE”); Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (“ADEK”) or Knowledge & Human Development Authority (“KHDA”)

Postgraduate program:

  • Minimum Cumulative GPA (Grade Point Average) of 3.5 (or equivalent) in Undergraduate or Masters Program from an approved academic institution
  • TOEFL score of 100 and above / IELTS 7.0 and above

Studying in the UAE? You will also need:

Undergraduate program:

  • High School Certificate (or equivalent) in science stream (or equivalent)
  • Average final examinations results of not less than 85%from a school recognized in terms of academic excellence by MoE, ADEK and KHDA with minimum achievement of 85% in each science subject
  • TOEFL (or equivalent) score of 80 and above / IELTS 6.0 and above

Postgraduate program:

  • Minimum Cumulative GPA (Grade Point Average) of 3.5 (or equivalent) in Undergraduate or Masters Program from an approved academic institution
  • TOEFL score of 100 and above / IELTS 7.0 and above

Enrolling in a Cadetship Program? you will also need:

  • High School Certificate (or equivalent) in science stream (or equivalent)
  • Average final examinations results of not less than 80% from a school recognized in terms of academic excellence by MoE, ADEK and KHDA
  • Acceptance letter from one of the accredited Marine academic institutions, with the course of study in a maritime discipline
  • Meet requirements for vaccination and Liberian Medical Examination

Eligibility

  • Be accepted by one of the approved academic institutions for a course of study with an approved academic major.
  • Be medically fit.
  • Performed or exempted national military service.
  • Scholarship Areas: Engineering majors, especially in the fields of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering, Future majors related to Artificial Intelligence, Financial Management, Investment Management, Economics, Trading.
  • Passed the admission tests and interview.
