Tredegarville C.I.W Primary

Tredegarville is a city centre church school where Christian values underpin all that we do. We believe that children’s spiritual and emotional development is as important as their academic development. We work hard to ensure all children are welcomed and included in our school. We have developed a caring ethos where staff and children can experience tolerance, justice and a sense of self-worth, ultimately leading to children who respect themselves, others and their environment. At Tredegarville Primary we recognise the vital role of parents as children’s first educators. We seek to work in partnership with parents and carers to support children’s learning. We want parents to feel welcome and part of our school community. The school also works closely with the community and St German’s Church.

In our school we try to live out our Christian values and to ensure the ethos of ‘caring, sharing and learning together’ underpins all aspects of school life. This is our shared vision as a school.Every school should be a special place, a safe place, a place of learning, a place of nurture and of exploration. A school must demonstrate openness and acceptance, tolerance and forgiveness. Here, values and attitudes are formed and every individual is celebrated as unique. A Church School is all of these things, but also develops a distinctive Christian character through its religious education, collective worship and ethos, that makes God's love and presence known to the world. We explore a series of values through the school. Each half term we focus on two values in our assemblies, class discussions and work. Parents are informed which values we are thinking about in our newsletter.

We want parents to feel as welcome as possible in our school. We recognise and respect that you are the most important people in our children’s lives and know them very well. We try and operate an open door policy as much as possible. We send home a weekly newsletter to keep you informed. We have a fantastic new website which contains all the important information you will need to know as well as weekly spelling lists and lots of photos of what the children have been up to. We also operate a texting service so we can let you know information by text.
