Rising Stars Kindergarten opened in September 2007 to provide quality education for children 3 – 5 years old. We will help your child develop the skills they need to enter full time education. We operate from a purpose built building that was designed with children in mind. All our Class Leaders are native English speakers and have previous experience working with young children.

At Rising Stars we are proud of our reputation for providing the highest quality care within a fun, caring and educational environment. Our philosophy is to nurture children through play and learning activities, to help them to grow in confidence, independence and social skills. We play an important part in their formative years by making every day a learning opportunity and a time for discovering new skills.

Our children get ready for ‘big’ school and enjoy the foundation stage curriculum through the exciting and stimulating delivery of the early learning goals. We work closely with all the parents ensuring that both child and parent receive the individual care and attention they require.

All children are supported in developing their potential at their own pace. We strive to plan a curriculum that is in line with nationally (UK) approved learning outcomes and the seven areas of learning within ‘The Foundation Stage’ which prepares children to progress with confidence to the National Curriculum at the age of 5 years. In both small and large groups, children are encouraged to extend their vocabulary and fluency by talking, listening and by hearing and responding to stories, songs and rhymes.

Children are introduced to reading and writing. Using their phonic knowledge to read, write words and sentences and eventually enabling them to read independently. Within a nurturing environment, children are individually supported in developing confidence, independence and self-respect.

By means of adult-supported practical experience, children become familiar with sorting, matching, ordering, sequencing and counting activities that form the basis for early mathematics. A safe and stimulating environment allows children to explore and experiment with a range of natural and manufactured materials. Children are also encouraged to enjoy many festivals and events from a range of different cultures. Children are introduced to technology using iPads in the classroom or PCs in the computer room.

A range of equipment and opportunities, both indoors and outdoors, allows children to develop confidence and enjoyment in the use and development of their own bodily skills. Children safely explore a variety of materials, tools and techniques, experimenting with colour, design and texture. They represent their own ideas, thoughts and feelings through design and technology, art, dance, role-play and stories.

The quality of education at this Doha nursery is truly inspiring; my child has blossomed with the attentive support of the staff and made remarkable strides in both learning and confidence!
