GEMS Wellington Academy - Silicon Oasis offers a uniquely crafted progression from the Early Years Foundation Stage, through an enriched and developed National Curriculum for England, into personalised qualification pathways incorporating both IGCSE and GCSE courses. These culminate in one of the richest IBDP and IBCP offers in the region. Our Academy is the first British Curriculum school in the UAE to offer IB, A-levels and BTEC.
Our world-class facilities are set in a modern campus in one of Dubai’s most prestigious new developments. Our campus provides a bright, modern, well resourced environment for our students to extend their learning. A special emphasis is placed on blended learning and the integration of technology into the curriculum in keeping with the educational rationale for the school and the vision of the Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority.
All students at the Academy are able to enjoy a rich and diverse Enrichment programme as part of the school day. This allows students to develop their talents and explore new interests. WSO Performing Arts aims to be recognised as a beacon of excellence internationally.
All students from FS2 to Post 16 are exposed to Performing Arts lessons in the curriculum, where talent is identified and nurtured by our team of Specialist Performing Arts Teachers, led by our Director of Performing Arts.
We are a partner school with ArtsEd, the UK’s leading performing arts school delivering bespoke programmes to our students to develop a full range of performance skills recognised internationally

WSO Physical Education Department, recognised as a ‘highly commendable’ in the recent Middle Eastern Journal Awards, is an inclusive department which ensures everyone achieves their greatest potential in Sport.
All students from FS2 to Post 16 have the opportunity to participate in a number of different sports ; including Football, Rugby, Tennis, Basketball, Cricket, Netball, Rounders and Swimming and our elite level athletes in Year 7-9 may apply to join our ‘Sports Development Academy’, which received the award for ‘Best Development Pathway within Education’ in the UAE Teen Awards 2017.

My son has attended FS2 here for just two semesters. He went from not speaking any English to being able to read English picture books. His progress in English has far exceeded our expectations. He loves his teachers, Beth Maclennan and Revelene, and his classmates. He looks forward to going to school every day and even doesn't want to leave when it's time to go home. Unfortunately, we have to return to our home country and have to leave, but we will miss this school. Additionally, the administrative staff here are the most enthusiastic and efficient I have ever seen, especially Michelle Repsold and Michelle Ortega. Overall, I have a very positive impression of this school, and I would recommend it to my friends.

We had a tour of the school during which we were shown the primary classes. The teachers seem inclusive, and the kids were at ease and looked happy. The admission team was especially helpful. We had been struggling with finding the right school that will admit our child in middle of the year. The school registrar, Ms. Repsold guided us with clear requirements on the documents and assessments. As we are new to Dubai, this was extremely important to us to decide on next steps. Communication was easy and prompt, booking appointments and managing them was also convenient. I will definitely recommend this school for a no headache process of admission !
