Graduate Certificate of International Relations

The Graduate Certificate is a subset of the Master of International Relations program and allows students to undertake a program of multi-disciplinary, postgraduate study but it entails a lesser commitment than that required for either the Graduate Diploma or Master program and is designed for students without a background in the field of international relations. Upon successful completion, students may decide to proceed into the Graduate Diploma or full Master program. Units available for study within the program include those available within the Graduate Diploma of International Relations. This is a flexible and real-world focused degree that examines the power-political, economic, cultural, legal and institutional forces that influence relations between the major players in the international system.

• You will explore fundamental issues such as the causes of war and peace, uneven development, and environmental degradation
• Develop a deeper understanding of political, economic an social relations in particular regions and trouble spots such as the Middle East, Asia, EU, US and Africa
• Coaching in academic and essay-writing skills is provided within the program, particularly for international students
• The program is highly flexible to enable those in full-time work to engage in further study via evening lectures and tutorials or online

Units

Entry Requirements

Most postgraduate courses require a successfully completed Australian bachelor degree or equivalent from a recognised institution and may also require a specific grade point average (GPA). Our admissions team will determine whether your qualification meets the requirements.
