Graduate Diploma of Politics and Public Policy
The units of the program are located within the context of political science. This program is designed to develop an understanding of the structure and processes of policy formulation and implementation from an Australian perspective.
Those who see a future as practitioners in public, community or political work. It is also of value for anyone in the private sector who works at the interface with government, whether the public service, the government or members of parliament. The program is designed for students who have had several years of experience in a policy-related field. Each unit draws on the students' real-world experience.
Part of what makes Macquarie future focused is that we allow you the freedom to explore your interests across a range of areas, rather than lock you in to a single, narrow field. So follow your passions and tailor your course to your needs and interests.
Units are what we call subjects. Most full-time students take four units – each worth a fixed number of credit points – per session.
Most postgraduate courses require a successfully completed Australian bachelor degree or equivalent from a recognised institution and may also require a specific grade point average (GPA). Our admissions team will determine whether your qualification meets the requirements.
