Claude Monet was the founder of French Impressionist art that changed the methods of landscape painting in history. Monet’s painting follows the method of capturing natural light and atmosphere at different times of the day or seasons. The term ‘Impression’ was derived from one of his works named ‘Impression, Sunrise’ and it inspired generations of artists to use his method.
And in this 3-hour class, you will be learning how to paint like Monet with Sahar Sherif, a professional and experienced artist. She will teach you the techniques that Monet had used to paint his impressionist art and you will learn to create a painting of the sunset in his style.
You will learn how to blend colors together, paint on top of layers without making a murky mess, and how to show reflections using light and shadow in the landscape. This class is suitable for both kids and adults to increase their knowledge about art & painting, and to spend some quality time together while creating beautiful works of art.
All art materials are provided, including acrylic paint set, small canvas (20 cm x10 cm), cups with lids to store paint, a palette with foil, paint brush set, and bag to keep art materials.
