NEBOSH IGC

The NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety is a globally recognized qualification. Aimed at Managers, supervisors and employees and those who require a broad knowledge and understanding of health and safety principles and practices. The qualification focuses on international standards and management systems, enabling candidates to effectively discharge workplace health and safety responsibilities in any employment sector, in all parts of the world. The NEBOSH International General Certificate is also suitable for those embarking on a career in health and safety, providing a sound basis for progression on to the NEBOSH International Diploma.

Syllabus

The syllabus is divided in to 3 units:

• IGC 1: Management of International Health and Safety
• GC 2: Control of International Workplace Risks
• GC3: International Health and Safety Practical Application

Examination

• IGC 1 and GC 2 are taught units each assessed by one two-hour written examination
• GC 3 is assessed by one two-hour practical examination
