Politecnico Milano is a scientific-technological university which trains engineers, architects and industrial designers. The University has always focused on the quality and innovation of its teaching and research, developing a fruitful relationship with business and productive world by means of experimental research and technological transfer.

Research has always been linked to didactics and it is a priority commitment which has allowed Politecnico Milano to achieve high quality results at an international level as to join the university to the business world. Research constitutes a parallel path to that formed by cooperation and alliances with the industrial system. Knowing the world in which you are going to work is a vital requirement for training students. By referring back to the needs of the industrial world and public administration, research is facilitated in following new paths and dealing with the need for constant and rapid innovation. The alliance with the industrial world, in many cases favored by Fondazione Politecnico and by consortiums to which Politecnico belong, allows the university to follow the vocation of the territories in which it operates and to be a stimulus for their development.

The challenge which is being met today projects this tradition which is strongly rooted in the territory beyond the borders of the country, in a relationship which is developing first of all at the European level with the objective of contributing to the creation of a single professional training market. Politecnico takes part in several research, sites and training projects collaborating with the most qualified European universities. Politecnico's contribution is increasingly being extended to other countries: from North America to Southeast Asia to Eastern Europe. Today the drive to internationalization sees Politecnico Milano taking part into the European and world network of leading technical universities and it offers several courses beside many which are entirely taught in English.

Politecnico di Milano is committed to achieving excellence in research. The path towards excellence is developed along the following actions: support advanced and fundamental research activities; develop strategic partnerships with academia and industry around the world to make significant contributions to society; develop new interdisciplinary research lines to tackle societal challenges; embed scientific developments and research results into university education. The Departments of Politecnico di Milano are responsible for the implementation of the mission in their scientific domains.

Definitely a top universities, which puts a strain on students (maybe too much). It provides a very theoretical and less practical, but it is also enviable abroad. Well-equipped classrooms and teaching spaces but not so comfortable, especially some old wooden classrooms. Despite all it is among the best Italian and European universities. Source: years of study.

Excellent university, I attended the faculty of computer engineering. Many courses are particularly interesting and current. Compared to a few years ago, they added numerous study rooms.

I have been in aerospace engineering, the teachers who transmit knowledge to students are more concerned with treating them as pieces of feet, believing themselves to be highly superior only because they have the knife on the side of the handle. Bad organization of the secretariats (once I had to go I waited 3 hours and passes) and classrooms and study rooms: before you find a place to study you take even half an hour at certain times, and during the course happened many vol you that there were so many people that in the end someone had to sit on the ground. Nobody cares to really inform the students about changes that affect the university, as it was for the change of the academic calendar. Positive aspects: after years of suffering I must admit that the preparation is excellent, despite the millions of humiliations suffered by teachers and the Polytechnic in general, and for this reason it is quite easy to find work; also it must be said that despite the bad organization of some aspects of the university it often organizes many interesting events that are held - not always but very often - during class time. If I went back, I would never even register if they paid me. For those who are convinced to register, I hope that he has a better university path than mine and that he should never agree with my thoughts.

The best university in the world. Difficult, but in addition to give you knowledge and teach problem solving shaped you as a person. Compared to Polimi!

As a graduate I can only tell you: choose the Polytechnic. School able not only to provide you with the necessary notions useful for what, most likely, will be your life, but which also intends to prepare you humanly and psychologically. I was lucky enough to study Design here, and I will never regret it. Between these walls I cried, laughed, sweated and hoped. I struggled for a good grade, I created links with people from all over the world, I learned a whole to work with others working not alone, but in groups. I can not wait to start my Masters here, I can not wait to start a new training path, I can not wait to get involved for the umpteenth time at the Poli.

A nice international atmosphere with a little bit of outdated schooling system and an extra touch of Italian corruption through various faculties.
