Currently doing a master's here, having not done my undergraduate studies here. I really like the university. The staff are excellent and the campus is modern and varied. The only problem with maynooth is the traffic. It can be a pain to drive here but sure it's no worse than TCD UCD or DCU.

I am In my fourth year as a student here, currently a postgrad. A great campus with mostly sound approachable lecturers, friendly staff, and the Arts degree here gives a great variety of subjects to choose from. It's probably the best one of any college in the country. However, on the other hand, some issues relating to overcrowding, lack of social & study rooms and common areas have arisen since I came to this university in 2014. Due to campus expansion plans: most of the old student's social rooms have been abolished or turned in lecture theatres to accommodate the extra student numbers and not replaced. This needs to be addressed by the governing authority. As the student numbers continue to increase year on year, new social and study spaces/rooms need to be provided in addition to all the new buildings going up in recent years. This is so important to every Maynooth student's overall well-being and our ability to socialize and maintain friendships while on campus. This does not have to decrease, as I feel it has been since I started here, while the rankings and student numbers continue to increase. Keeping the traditional sense of a close-knit community and identity between students, one that makes Maynooth unique compared to other bigger universities, should be maintained in future policy considerations while expansion continues.

My daughter successfully completed both her BSc (Hons) and MSc here. Her experiences were all positive. Her interactions with lecturers and staff were great. The facilities are modern and up to par. Then there's the campus - wow. Picturesque, historic, modern and amazing to explore. Highly recommended.
