Founded in 1229, the University of Toulouse-Mirail has a long-standing tradition of humanities studies. UTM offers degrees in a broad variety of disciplines, from the undergraduate level to the doctorate. Our main campus is located in Toulouse, in the Mirail quarter, 15 minutes from the city centre by metro. The University also has several smaller campuses in nine cities of the Midi-Pyrenees region, as well as other campuses around the world. The involvement and the commitment of our student body, faculty and staff along with our high standard of education have established the University of Toulouse II – Le Mirail as one of the best universities in France and a leading academic institution in research and education.

"University Toulouse II or University of Toulouse II (known by the name of University de Toulouse-Jean Jaurès since 2014 and formerly University de Toulouse-Le Mirail, UTM) is one of 3 universities in Toulouse, France. The campus, situated in Toulouse's grand architectural project of the 1960s, Le Mirail, was conceived and built by the team of architects Candilis, Josic, Woods.

Mirail University was hastily conceived as a result of the saturation of the original buildings in the city centre and of course the events of May 1968. At that time it was decided to divide the University of Toulouse into three: The law faculty became University Toulouse I, occupying all the old university buildings, the humanities faculty became University de Toulouse II – Le Mirail, named after its new location, and the departments of science and medicine became University Paul Sabatier (Toulouse III). In 1969, a fourth university in Toulouse was created, Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse, a school of engineering."

At University of Toulouse II – Le Mirail, my daughter has flourished academically, surrounded by passionate educators who genuinely care about her success.

A very good teaching except that some teachers judge you physically or experiences. Indeed, language teachers are too strict and know how to devalue students. Some teachers do not understand that we have a life next door (work or family ) and therefore judge absenteeism by a bad grade..If you have a family but you can not come to all the courses, the teachers of philosophy you will note poorly .. I do not put all the teachers in the same bag but some are really not understanding

It's been 7 years that I'm in this college. I have a license llcer and there I am in psycho. To be honest this university is very poorly organized. I admit that there they make more effort at the level of reconstruction (it's ready 2 years) before that the University was deplorable. The information is a little better but not enough .. Despite these changes, this university is still mediocre to me, organization level and I'm tired of it ... In the 7 years that I was there there has always had strikes. It's painful, demotivating ..

nice place but the staff is something else. They take students for c ** and above are paid to drink coffee and smoking fags from 8:30 am instead of this pure students. Dishonest bonus. Fac strongly discouraged, go private, organization etc. will always be better than mirail.

I did my M1 of geography. The university itself is nice and the student mentality is pretty good. On the other hand, the teacher side is not great (at least as far as the UFR of geography). Some teachers in the department clearly differentiate between "good" and "bad" students, not at all pedagogical!

A college that makes you want! I do not mean the teachers because like everywhere there any more and it's very subjective .... however practical info - there are parking lots around the building in the academic field and in some buildings! The metro arrives almost in and of course the buses ... 9 years of work a treat for those who arrive now!

Efforts to rebuild the college but major internal problems in college (lack chair to attend classes TD, very badly soundproofed rooms in the UK building).
