University of Culture, debate and openness to the world, the University Paul-Valéry is in one of the most ancienn es academic traditions of Europe and enjoys core strengths, including its environment: a city and a region resolutely turned towards the youth and culture. Located in the heart of the ""campus"" Montpellier, the Paul-Valéry site invites you to evolve in a bold contemporary architectural complex, where the Mediterranean vegetation, water and stone combine to serve as a showcase for art works that beautify the parks, patios, buildings and highlight places of exchange, creation and expression in the image of the Library of arts, Museum of castings, Theatre La Vignette or student House. These spaces, like those of Béziers site, are tools to enhance the quality of teaching and promote the success and thus the insertion in a professional world that s 'always opens more to the disciplines of Arts, Humanities, Languages, social Sciences.
Paul Valéry is one of the oldest universities in Europe. The University of Montpellier, founded on 26 October 1289 through a bull issued by Pope Nicholas IV combining the schools of Medicine, Arts and Law, is the third university founded in France, following those of Paris and Toulouse. In 1939, the new Faculty of Humanities was built in the city centre, facing Saint Paul's Cathedral on the rue du Cardinal de Cabrières (currently home to part of the University of Montpellier 1's Law Faculty), and inaugurated by the then Dean Augustin Fliche.

Thank you once again for doing your part to keep Edarabia the most trusted education source.
I spent 5 years there and it was pure happiness. A mix of cultural diversities. Quality education with really competent teachers. Administrative people have a rare quality in their function: the sense of service. They even manage to remember the names of most of the students and do not let us down before solving our problems. Nice university and it's a pleasure to study there.

Beautiful outdoor space. A college that makes you want at first. Nevertheless disastrous administration, no organization on the part of the staff, impossible to have answers to our questions. Forced even sometimes to look for our classroom alone so nothing is indicated. Similarly for catch-up. If I had to start my years again it's sure it would not be there!

5 years there. A university that deserves its reputation disastrous. But immediately put things to clear: teachers, as elsewhere, can be good, or even excellent, or catastrophic. Personally, I've met more excellent than bad (neo-students do not know to question, then it's their fault!). HOWEVER, this is pitiful in this Faculty is the BOARD and SECRETARIAT.

Some say it's a mess, others that college teaches you to get by being not only pending the teachers and administration. I'm part of the second category. A good school of life.
