In order to provide adequate opportunity of engineering education to the people belonging to the interior of Sindh province, the Sindh University Engineering College Jamshoro was established in 1963 as a constituent college of the University of Sindh. According to the education policy of 1972, it was decided by the government to upgrade the college to the level of University of Engineering & Technology after shifting it to Nawabshah. Consequently, the 1st year classes were started at Nawabshah in February 1974.
QUEST campus is situated just outside the city of Nawabshah near airport and is spread over an area of 457 acres on both sides of the main Sakrand road. Presently, it consists of three academic sectors. Sector A houses the departments of Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Institute of Information Technology the Administration Block and a well-established Computer Centre. Sector B houses the departments of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy & Environment Engineering and Basic Sciences & Related Studies. While all the laboratories of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Workshop are located in Sector C and the Central Library is located between Sector B & C. Two new buildings for Electronics and Energy & Environment Engineering have constructed between sectors A&B. There is a well-planned residential colony consisting of a substantial number of bungalows for the teachers and officers and quarters for other employees.

Quest is a continuous performance declining university of this country.. With the biased mind-set and the prejudicial behaviour, the students and teachers of QUEST drag the worsening situation to the worst. Conflict of interest among the authorities and the fake authorities over students, impersonating as comrades, keep on playing blame-game, and emphasize over black-mailing each other and any other who come in the way. Ironically, this university is highly male-dominant, and sincerely not-recommended for girls, they are not only under-pressure here but also stay unsafe. Some political goons consider the girls as their slaves and always try to manipulate them, which normally leads to harassment in case of denial. Girls are not even safe from the teaching staff, it is very shameful to say that some of the lab staff, teacher and even a few professors are always looking for a chance, and they get it very easily due to the marks they hold in their pen. What to speak of teaching quality or research work, supply of fresh water is one of the huge concerns for students. Basic necessities are a rare commodity here, compelling the homosapians to strive for their survival. Seriously the whole system is corrupt from the top to bottom, from administration to faculty and from staff to students. There is a dire need of some major changes, every policy needs to be revisited and most important of all, everyone needs to be sincere with themselves, their life, their career, and their university. Q.U.E.S.T University is Excellent It is Fast in Making Merit Lists rather than M.U.E.T which Plays drama role that it is ISO certified Q.U.E.S.T is not Greedy as MUET which is Continuously Increasing the Self Fiance Date QUEST has Fixed date in all Manners Like Self fiance Submission of Forms etc I Salute to Q.U.E.S.T University ,, But Now some students want to ruined the Name of Q.U.E.S.T which don't Like Peace in University and in their related societies I pray to Allah May this University Become the number one University of Pakistan and Become Top ten University in the World :)
