The institution was established on June 2, 1924 as the Baybay Agricultural School (BAS)through a Provincial Board Resolution. In 1934, it was renamed Baybay Agricultural High School (BAHS) and was later converted into the Baybay National Agricultural School (BNAS) with the approval of Commonwealth Act No. 313 in 1938.BNAS was converted into the Visayas Agricultural College (VAC) by virtue of Republic Act (RA) No. 2831 issued on June 19, 1960.

Thank you once again for doing your part to keep Edarabia the most trusted education source.
I've come and go to this place for eight years, high school and college, and I'm always be proud of its nature and what it has offered. For those eight years, VSU let me meet special people that will forever have a place in my heart, make wothy memories, and nurture me as individual. Most importantly, it's a refreshing, relaxing, scenic (instagram-worthy) and healthy place. I will definitely visit this place again and again because VSU is already a part of me, a part of my life.

I'm not only gaining knowledge and experiences here in VSU. I also got a bonus. The bonus of my hardwork which is my "Pinalanggang BAGTAK". The farther the departments, the greater bagtak I could gain. And it's the new asset as a proud VSU student.

Its a state University, but unlike any other campus its like a paradise. The upper campus with its breathtaking spots of nature and the lower campus with a beautiful scenery of the beach. Studying while enjoying the beauty of nature is an awesome thing. Even I'm not a student of VSU but then my hear is captured by it.

VSU is one of the most stunning and breathtaking university in the Philippines and yet it is not included in the list. It is a globally competitive university and produces the best students and researchers in the country especially when it comes to agriculture.
