In this institution, we have the facilities and the means of imparting thorough university training. Our faculty is strong. Our plant is complete. Our scholarship is of the highest order. Our athletic and recreation facilities are adequate.

But, as you know, all that we can do to help you is only half the process of training you. In the long run, the most important factor in your university education will be how hard you yourselves work for that education. Our teachers – among the country’s most competent in their respective fields – will be quite helpless if you fail to apply yourselves adequately to your studies. In any institution of learning, the student gets any what he works for and nothing more. You should decide at the very start to work so hard that you will take every possible advantage of the opportunities offered you here. After all, the hard-working university student is not only working for high grades; he is at the same time laying down his foundation of knowledge upon which to build all his life long, and acquiring the habit of giving the best in him to the job he undertakes.

A college student who fails to do this two-fold thing fails to acquire for himself the only lasting gift that a university can give.So let us all work together, keep faith together. And out of our common hardships and out of our common achievements, we shall build greatness and create loyalty for our alma mater.

The FEU campus teems with various student activities. There are 56 active student organizations in FEU, under the supervision of the Office of the Student Affairs and the FEU Central Student Council or FEUCSO, that fill the school year with numerous co-curricula projects. In this aspect, FEU is different from other universities since full management support is given to relevant student initiated programs.Aside from the traditional activities such as general assemblies and team building activities, student organizations initiate other student-centered activities such as fairs, concerts, weekly performances, symposia on current and relevant issues, seminars, workshops, contests, and other projects in support of university-wide events.

Amid the fun and excitement generated by these programs, student organizations do not forget to support community outreach programs that benefit less and privileged mebers of society. This among other initiatives, makes for a complete and dynamic student experience throught co-curricular activities.

Step into this historic campus and you leave behind the dust and grime of a dirty metropolis at the gates. Inside the well-manicured quadrangle are towering decades-old trees masking architectural gems some of which hide masterpieces created by the countries most revered artists. This is FEU, a Manila institution known for its dedication to educating the country's working class, home to generations of proud tamaraws. Ask about the free tours and discover this green and gold oasis' hidden treasures.

Outside, unfamiliar guests would quip that the University is small, only to realize the opposite when they go beyond the gates. Although located almost in the middle of Manila's Recto District, FEU is an oasis in what seems to be a pandemonium of goods and people.
