On January 18, 1954, strongly adhering to the vision of contributing to the progress and development of the nation through producing competent engineers and architects trained in the most modern and advanced methods and techniques, the Polytechnic Colleges of the Philippines was established. Founded by a group of respected educators that included Messrs. Manuel I. Felizardo, Vicente Y. Orosa, Ciriaco Y. Coronel and Emilio M. Javier, the School's first President was co-founder Gonzalo T. Vales, who had earned his Civil Engineering degree from the University of Southern California. He was until then, the Dean of the Mapua Institute of Technology.
With only one building and an enrolment of about three hundred students in 1954, PCP initially offered a limited number of disciplines namely: Bachelor of Science Degrees in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Chemical Engineering and a separate course in Surveying. Two years later, the High School Department was established with Mr. Miguel Pacquing as its first principal. The College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Business Administration were opened in school year 1960 - 61.

My experience as a student at CCP is fantastic. CCP gave me the edge in competing into the outside world. I humbly thank all the Teachers that pushes us to our limit, courteous staffs and great security that keep us safe. I've met wonderful people and learned alot, again thank you so much, "Kudos CCP".

I love how the teachers are approachable and the school community is kept active by fun activities provided by college departments to broaden the students knowledge, challenge, and also let's the students connect to each and everybody in the school. And oh... my favourite part is it being across the SM Sta. Mesa. And also, it is an International accredited school. Am in Australia and I had my degree assessed here, they looked up CCP... it maybe not a huge college but it is worth every penny to be in it. Keep it up CCP!

Class rooms are not equiped with windows, instead it is a cement wall with art pattern that gives the ventilation, so class room dont have air-condition. The school has a chapel. The school canteen sell expensive foods, lucky SM is just nearby. The garden is big and green, makes the over all temperation of the school not so hot. They have a old basketball cort made in cement floor. The LRT railway is right in front the school, causing sound polution. everytime the LRT passby.
