Welcome to the Université de Moncton - Canada's largest French-language university outside Québec. The university's three campuses are located in New Brunswick's francophone regions at Edmundston, Shippagan and Moncton. Université de Moncton offers 180 study programs, including 38 at the master's degree level and 7 at the doctorate level. Fields of study include administration, arts, education, engineering, forestry, law, nursing, nutrition, psychology, sciences, social work, etc. More than 30 research centers, chairs, and institutes are presently active.

The student population originates mainly from New Brunswick but also from almost all countries of the Francophonie internationale. The university benefits from many exchange programs and institutional agreements supporting student mobility at the international level. Numerous international internships are made available to students every year. Université de Moncton is one of the few francophone universities in Canada that offer international students the opportunity to work and study at the masters level.

Some 5000 students are enrolled at Université de Moncton. They benefit from a personalized teaching style with quality that can only be provided in a medium-sized university. With one of the lowest faculty-student ratios in the country, exchanges between the professors and students and the overall quality of learning are enhanced.

The education here is truly transformative; the staff goes above and beyond to support each student, and I've witnessed incredible growth in my child's confidence and skills.

Student residence buildings have very poor WiFi service. Connections are continually dropped. In addition, breakers continually jump! This is very frustrating for students especially after they were charged such a high premium for rent! poor service.

If you want to study in a true bilingual Canadian city wait no more and apply to this university. Very friendly and stress free compared to other big city universities. However it's a French university so be prepared for it. Great sports arenas and buildings. However if you want to stay in their rooms for your studies be prepared for, well smells. Good luck in your studies!!!

The University of Moncton has great people attending and many great teachers. I am, however, very disappointed by the lack of accountability by the staff to assist students. Rarely did I ever have my questions answered and when they were, it was to say what I already knew. Every time I spoke to someone for assistance in finding the right program for me, I was brushed off and sent to another person that would do the exact same thing. I would then be asked to do everything online. I would have no problem doing things online if they did not use very old systems that do not work, or that will work on a on and off basis. This could easily be fixed if they did not force students to have to do everything on their old websites and would allow people to ask for things over the phone or in person. I have since moved on and am attending another University that has assisted me in finding the right program, that fits my needs and will allow me to graduate in a third of the time that I would have graduated at the University of Moncton. I do hope the University of Moncton learns to have clear processes in place as I would have loved to continue my studies in French, but am very disappointed in the help that is given to students.
