At Queen's, we value our people and are committed to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment. From department assistants and librarians to admissions coordinators and researchers, our staff and faculty are the heart of the Queen's experience. We are people who want to learn, discover, think, and do. We push the limits of what can be achieved and develop ideas that can make a difference in the world. For more than 175 years, our community has been more than a collection of bright minds – Queen’s has attracted people with an ambitious spirit. We imagine what the future can be, and work together to realize it.

Queen's is located in the city of Kingston, Ontario, Canada, half-way between Montreal and Toronto, two of Canada's largest cities. Kingston is situated on the shores of Lake Ontario, near the entrance to the St. Lawrence River and Thousand Islands, and the Rideau Canal. The best way to get to know Queen’s is by coming to visit. Explore our historic buildings, attend cultural events, and spend some time in our distinguished museums, archives, and galleries. We love sharing our campus and community!

Queen’s University has developed a number of strategic plans and other documents that help define the university’s priorities and guide its decision-making. These plans work collectively to advance the university’s vision as Canada’s research-intensive university that delivers a transformative student learning experience. In particular, the Strategic Framework serves as a capstone to Queen’s strategic planning exercises over the past few years, by identifying the four key strategic drivers that will advance the university’s mission to 2019.

Queen’s University is the Canadian research intensive university with a transformative student learning experience. Here the employment experience is as diverse as it is interesting. We have opportunities in multiple areas of globally recognized research, faculty administration, engineering & construction, athletics & recreation, power generation, corporate shared services, and many more. We are committed to employment equity and diversity in the workplace and welcome applications from individuals from equity seeking groups such as women, racialized/visible minorities, Indigenous/Aboriginal peoples, persons with a disability, persons who identify in the LGBTQ+ community and others who reflect the diversity of Canadian society.

The exceptional educators in Ontario inspire students to reach their full potential, and I’ve witnessed remarkable growth in my child's confidence and skills!

Very displeased with the organization of the school. Extremely difficult to get in touch with the departments unless at their convenience.. attempted contacting 7 times on my behalf and finally after writing an email about how displeased and frustrated I was, they reached out immediately, however did not manage to resolve my problem and continued to refer me to a different department. When contacting by phone with the numbers they provide it goes straight to voicemail.. and still request that I contact a different department even though the extension number is the one that I was provided to get the assistance I need.. very frustrated and not at all satisfied that this process is being stretched out beyond demand..

I Loved the Staff and feel welcomed for wanting to learn, it's a polticaly balanced and has a respect for free speech, unlike many schools this days. Only con that I would say is the disrespect for the local community, lots of tensions over it.

I work at Queen's. The students and professors are always warm and friendly. It's honestly a wonderful place to be every day.

As users have indicated below, infrastructure is falling apart both on and off campus. Bathroom systems overflow, flooding the floors on campus. Students are barbaric in their use of the property. NO climate control/hygiene in the poorer faculty infrastructures. They grade relatively generously, but if you end up with a Prof that LOVES to discriminate, you can kiss your future goodbye. If you're ethnic, pick a more diverse academy, as Queen's is not diverse and does not uphold equal treatment imo. If you're disabled, anticipate a lack of understanding and empathy form the Profs and admin. No proper system in place for exam accommodations. Very dinky, and underdeveloped. The city itself lacks food and is full of ex-criminals. Expect to be robbed in the middle of the night.

Such a beautiful campus with both new and old architecture. Walking around Queen's feels like it's Hogwarts and the atmosphere is very lively. Thrilled to be studying here in the fall!

I found the students very friendly and helpful regards to directions. Also thought a few of the topics that were discussed about the first yr in England were rather repetitious but most were informative. The food presented was appreciated.

People that come to Queen's show up from other towns and cities and refer to the people of kingston as townies like they're above us or something. Meeting students that go to queens makes me fear for our future.

The grading system is so unfair. I was given a 2.6 CGPA when I clearly could've earned myself a 3.6CGPA at least. I worked hard yet was never compensated appropriately. It's almost as if the school wish to not have their students graduate on time and/or pursue a higher education
