Established in 1827, the University of Toronto has one of the strongest research and teaching faculties in North America, presenting top students at all levels with an intellectual environment unmatched in depth and breadth on any other Canadian campus. With more than 82,000* students across three campuses (St. George, Mississauga and Scarborough) and over 500,000 alumni active in every region of the world, U of T's influence is felt in every area of human endeavour.
The downtown Toronto (St. George) campus blends historical architecture and inviting green spaces as a backdrop to a truly remarkable community. Set in the centre of Toronto, one of the world’s most dynamic and diverse cities, it is a place where students, staff and faculty engage with a vibrant academic life and countless co-curricular activities.
Just beyond the campus are the many events, neighbourhoods and industries that Toronto has to offer. From Scotiabank Nuit Blanche, an annual art festival that runs from dusk until dawn, to sports games at one of the Varsity Centre's high-performance facilities, this location is intrinsically linked with the city's renowned cultural offerings to create a rich and unique experience for everyone.

Thank you once again for doing your part to keep Edarabia the most trusted education source.
A short summary is that this is a top-notch university at a below-market price. The researchers and instructors are of high calibre, and many undergrads are also top notch. The notable alumni list speaks for itself. For that, the university charges pretty reasonable price for Canadian students. The university admin, however, should keep pushing for excellence. Its position in the world is a precarious one. It must double down on recruiting talented high schoolers, researchers, and instructors, and avoid getting in certain controversies that can damage its brand. As for the academic difficulty, I am a contrarian here; UofT should aggressively adjust their academic standards higher and recruit accordingly, not lower, but also expand its teaching quality and capabilities. The world is not resting; many up-and-coming universities are doing exceedingly well at bringing students up in global competition.

The place where I have received a real education for the first time in my life. Although it is way too big in term of its student poplution, it has amazing professors who have taught and influenced me a lot.

Excellent University. Feels like Oxford University within a Canadian university. Big city convenience very near the campus. A British-Canadian post-secondary education that ambitious Canadian will never forget.

Very helpful registrars and staff, world-class researchers, and incredibly passionate professors in the Life Sciences. Had a challenging but rewarding experience as an undergraduate student. There's a lot of room to grow at this institute. Also, fantastic atmosphere for learning with other like-minded students who love learning and numerous libraries to relax and study in. You won't "feel like a number" if you take the initiative to make friends with your professors and peers.

Great academic institution and top tier research but it is a huge impersonal place. Better to have smaller more intimate relationships
